High-performance manufacturing equipment for shirasu balloons
This is a high-performance manufacturing device for "Shirasu balloons," a material made from volcanic ash called "Shirasu," which is widely distributed in southern Kyushu. More than 60% of the components used to simultaneously produce four different particle sizes of Shirasu balloons at once are made by rapidly heating glassy Shirasu at high temperatures to evaporate and expand the moisture inside, creating tiny hollow spherical bodies. Due to its lightweight, ease of processing, and excellent thermal insulation properties, it is mainly used for building materials and abrasive materials. Traditionally, after manufacturing, the product was sorted by particle size, but this device is equipped with a centrifugal separation function that allows for the efficient simultaneous production of Shirasu balloons in four different particle sizes. It has a capacity of approximately 40 kilograms per hour, which is more than double that of existing devices. It can operate continuously for 24 hours, and through automatic start and operation, it enhances temperature control accuracy and allows monitoring of the conditions inside the firing furnace during production.
